Ambassador Ride Details
  • Ride leaders and HBC members may receive mileage credit for leading or participating in an “Ambassador” ride.
  • Both leaders and non-leaders are encouraged to wear an HBC or a Tour D’Amico Jersey when acting as HBC Ambassadors, and to ride in a manner that brings credit to HBC.
  • An “Ambassador” ride is a bicycle ride that is sponsored either by a charitable organization (Such as "Tour de Cure”, the ALS ride, the MS 150, the Red Ribbon Ride, etc.)  OR a special event ride sponsored by a Non-Metro area bicycle club or civic organization (e.g. Tour of Lakes, Itasca Tour, Door County Century, Tour De Pepin, Jesse James Ride, etc).
  • HBC Insurance does NOT cover Ambassador Rides.  The inclusion of an Ambassador ride in the HBC Ride Schedule is not an endorsement of the quality or safety of the ride.
  • An HBC Ride Leader must be present to handle sign-up for mileage credit.
  • A ride leader must put the Ambassador Ride on the HBC Ride Schedule, as an Ambassador Ride, and by so doing, agrees to be the ride leader for the Ambassador Ride.  The HBC Ride Leader chair must approve all Ambassador rides before they are scheduled.  This can be done by sending an email to the ride leader chair.
  • Members and Ride Leaders are responsible for signing up for the ride and paying any applicable fees.
