It’s easy to lead
rides for HBC. There’s no need to wait for a special class. You can complete
your training any time of the year.
Here’s how it
works:
- Choose a current
HBC ride leader to serve as your peer instructor
- Set up a time
to meet with your peer instructor
- The meeting
can be anywhere -- a Caribou Coffee, for example
- Review the
HBC Ride Leader Guidelines with your peer instructor
- This review
will only take about 60 to 90 minutes
- Co-lead two
rides with your peer instructor
That’s it! You’re
now an HBC ride leader.
You’ll gain these
benefits, too:
- Leading rides
near your home at times and places that you choose
- Leading e-rides
on short notice
- Choosing your
own routes
- Qualifying
for the coveted, free Star of the North jersey, a $70 value
- Earning an
elegant, free dinner at HBC’s Salute to Volunteers Banquet simply
by leading three rides. The two rides that you co-lead with your peer instructor
even count towards those three rides!
So, why wait?
