must obey all traffic laws on HBC rides. |

must wear a properly fastened ANSI or Snell-approved helmet on all HBC
rides. |

BicycleYour
bicycle should be in good mechanical condition. |

ClothingWear
clothing appropriate for the day's weather conditions.
Cycling shorts or tights and cycling gloves may greatly increase your
comfort. |

WaterDrink
lots of water before the ride. Carry water with you on the ride and drink
lots of water during the ride. |

FoodBring
quick-energy foods such as dried fruit, bagels, and bananas with you on
the ride. |

|
ToolsCarry
at least two tire levers, a spare tube, a patch kit, and a pump. |

Arrive
earlyArrive
early to allow time to get you and your equipment ready. |

Sign-inThere
is a sign-in form for members. Non-members must sign one day temporary
membership form and release wavier. |

|
FeesHBC
members pay no ride fees. Non-members pay a $2 for a one-day
temporary membership. |

GeneralBring
money, identification, sun screen, a sense of humor, and the ability to
deal with the unexpected, such as getting lost. |
